Jade’s Journey: The Dog Who Lived

physical therapy 006She was hit by a car and was never taken to a vet — but she survived.

She had an intolerably itchy skin condition — but she tolerated it.

She was on Death Row — but she escaped it just in time.

Jade isn’t much more than a year old, yet she’s already gone through more than most dogs will ever go through in their lifetime.

She’s a curl-up-in-your-lap, can-I-get-any-closer-to-you kind of dog.

She lived outdoors with a bunch of feral cats, and she enjoys good, hard play with dogs.

Going for a car ride? Jade’s right there.

Is she perfect? Nope. She’s young and green and has a lot to learn — but she very much wants to learn.

Look at Jade’s eyes and you don’t see the eyes of a young pup. They are the eyes of a dog who has a lot of stories to tell.

But I, for one, don’t want to hear them because I don’t think they’re very happy stories.

We can’t rewrite Jade’s history, but we can certainly start a new chapter in her book.

Jade is ready for a Forever that comes with love, patience and arms open wide.

It’s time.
