Say hello to Herman, a sweet, smart, 2-year-old goofball!
This lab mix (we’re thinking some whippet, perhaps?) has had a bit of a rough go in his young life. He’s unsure of people until he gets to know you, and then he’s happiest when he’s nuzzled up by your side or curled up napping at your feet.
Meeting new people can make Herman uncomfortable, and sudden noises and harsh voices make him flinch.
But once Herman feels he can trust you, we promise he’ll make you smile from ear to ear! His soft eyes and one floppy ear are hard to resist … not to mention the way he rolls onto his back and wiggles his way into your lap!
Herman’s up for just about anything. He’s content lounging around the house with you, but he also is always ready to hop in the car for a ride, go on a walk, hike, or even a run. When Herman’s on the leash, he’s the happiest dog in the world.
Herman comes to us well-trained in the basic skills (sit, stay, come, etc). He’s completely housebroken and crate-trained, and he’s very good at loose-leash walking.
Herman is looking for someone who’ll give him lots of love and help build his confidence. He would thrive in a household with another dog, who could help show Herman the ropes. Because of his shyness, we don’t recommend children.
